President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Washington, D.C. for an official visit, met with President Donald Trump of the United States of America at the White House.
Prior to the meeting, President Erdoğan was welcomed by President Trump by an official ceremony. President Erdoğan shook hands with President Trump and greeted reporters. Afterward, President Erdoğan signed the book of honor.
President Erdoğan and President Trump headed inside the White House for their tete a tete meeting. In his statement in the Oval Office prior to the meeting, President Trump said: “"We've had a great relationship and we will make it even better.” Stating that they look forward to having very strong and solid discussions, President Trump thanked President Erdoğan for his visit.
