3 Tenors’s legendary name Jose Carreras will come to Turkey for the very last time within World Final Tour. Soprano Simge Büyükedes and conductor David Gimenes will accompany the jubilee concert which is expected to attract great attention to the legendary tenor.
Jose Carreras, who has started to interest music with the admiration of the famous American tenor Mario Lanza when he was 6 years old and started to play piano and voice training with the support of his grandfather Salvador Coll, started his conservatory education when he was 8 years old. The famous tenor took his first stage at the age of 11 at Gran Teatre Del Liceu. In 1971, he won Voci Verdiane from Parma’s most prestigious competitions by createting a tremendous impression with his work with Nabucco and Lucrezia Borgia in 1970. After performing for the first time in Italy, Carreras made his musical career forge ahead. After this performance, he became famous in many cities with famous sopranos in New York, San Francisco and London. Carreras has reached 2 million audience with the concert of “3 Tenors” when he performed with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti before the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
